Synopsis

The remote Debian host is missing a security-related update.

Description

The remote Debian 10 host has a package installed that is affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the dla-3217 advisory.

- g810-led 0.4.2, a LED configuration tool for Logitech Gx10 keyboards, contained a udev rule to make supported device nodes world-readable and writable, allowing any process on the system to read traffic from keyboards, including sensitive data. (CVE-2022-46338)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade the g810-led packages.

For Debian 10 buster, this problem has been fixed in version 0.3.3-2+deb10u1.
