The remote SUSE host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote SUSE Linux SLES15 / SLES_SAP15 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the SUSE-SU-2022:4488-1 advisory.

- A vulnerability was found in mod_wsgi. The X-Client-IP header is not removed from a request from an untrusted proxy, allowing an attacker to pass the X-Client-IP header to the target WSGI application because the condition to remove it is missing. (CVE-2022-2255)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected apache2-mod_wsgi and / or apache2-mod_wsgi-python3 packages.
