Description

The version of GitLab installed on the remote host is affected by a vulnerability, as follows:

- In Gitlab EE/CE before 15.6.1, 15.5.5 and 15.4.6 using a branch with a hexadecimal name could override an existing hash. (CVE-2022-4205)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to GitLab version 12.9.8, 15.5.5, 15.6.1 or later.
