Synopsis

The remote Amazon Linux 2022 host is missing a security update.

Description

It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the ALAS2022-2023-269 advisory.

- Heap based buffer overflow in vim/vim 9.0.0946 and below by allowing an attacker to CTRL-W gf in the expression used in the RHS of the substitute command. (CVE-2022-4141)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.
