Synopsis

The remote CentOS Linux host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote CentOS Linux 7 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the RHSA-2022:8799 advisory.

 - Access to external entities when parsing XML documents can lead to XML external entity (XXE) attacks. This flaw allows a remote attacker to potentially retrieve the content of arbitrary files by sending specially crafted HTTP requests. (CVE-2022-2414)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected packages.
