Synopsis

VMware vRealize Operations running on the remote host is affected by a cross site request forgery vulnerability.

Description

The version of VMware vRealize Operations (vROps) running on the remote host is 8.6.x prior to 8.6.4. It is, therefore, affected by a CSRF vulnerability. A malicious user could execute actions on the vROps platform on behalf of the authenticated victim user.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to VMware vRealize Operations Manager version 8.6.4 or later.
