Synopsis

The remote Amazon Linux 2 host is missing a security update.

Description

The version of snakeyaml installed on the remote host is prior to 1.11-8. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the ALAS2-2023-1976 advisory.

- The package org.yaml:snakeyaml from 0 and before 1.31 are vulnerable to Denial of Service (DoS) due missing to nested depth limitation for collections. (CVE-2022-25857)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Run 'yum update snakeyaml' to update your system.
