The remote SUSE host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote SUSE Linux SLES15 host has a package installed that is affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the SUSE- SU-2023:0635-1 advisory.

- A buffer overflow vulnerability was found in the Netfilter subsystem in the Linux Kernel. This issue could allow the leakage of both stack and heap addresses, and potentially allow Local Privilege Escalation to the root user via arbitrary code execution. (CVE-2023-0179)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected kernel-livepatch-5_14_21-150400_15_5-rt package.
