The remote Scientific Linux host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The remote Scientific Linux 7 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the SLSA-2023:1095-1 advisory.

 - zlib: heap-based buffer over-read and overflow in inflate() in inflate.c via a large gzip header extra field (CVE-2022-37434)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected packages.
