Synopsis

The remote CBL Mariner host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The version of mariadb installed on the remote CBL Mariner 2.0 host is prior to tested version. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the CVE-2022-27387 advisory.

 - MariaDB Server v10.7 and below was discovered to contain a global buffer overflow in the component decimal_bin_size, which is exploited via specially crafted SQL statements. (CVE-2022-27387)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected packages.
