Synopsis

The remote CBL Mariner host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The version of gnupg2 installed on the remote CBL Mariner 2.0 host is prior to tested version. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the CVE-2022-34903 advisory.

- GnuPG through 2.3.6, in unusual situations where an attacker possesses any secret-key information from a victim's keyring and other constraints (e.g., use of GPGME) are met, allows signature forgery via injection into the status line. (CVE-2022-34903)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.
