Synopsis

The remote CBL Mariner host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The version of m2crypto installed on the remote CBL Mariner 2.0 host is prior to tested version. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the CVE-2020-25657 advisory.

- A flaw was found in all released versions of m2crypto, where they are vulnerable to Bleichenbacher timing attacks in the RSA decryption API via the timed processing of valid PKCS#1 v1.5 Ciphertext. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to confidentiality. (CVE-2020-25657)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected packages.
