CBL Mariner 2.0 Security Update: curl (CVE-2022-35252)

Synopsis

The remote CBL Mariner host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The version of curl installed on the remote CBL Mariner 2.0 host is prior to tested version. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the CVE-2022-35252 advisory.

 - When curl is used to retrieve and parse cookies from a HTTP(S) server, itaccepts cookies using control codes that when later are sent back to a HTTPserver might make the server return 400 responses.
 Effectively allowing asister site to deny service to all siblings. (CVE-2022-35252)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected packages.
