The version of GitLab installed on the remote host is affected by a vulnerability.

Description

The version of GitLab installed on the remote host is affected by a vulnerability, as follows:

- An issue has been discovered in GitLab affecting all versions starting from 8.1 to 15.8.5, and from 15.9 to 15.9.4, and from 15.10 to 15.10.1. It was possible to add a branch with an ambiguous name that could be used to social engineer users. (CVE-2023-0450)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to GitLab version 15.8.5, 15.9.4, 15.10.1 or later.
