Synopsis

The Adobe InCopy instance installed on the remote host is affected by a vulnerability.

Description

The version of Adobe InCopy installed on the remote host is prior to 17.4.1, 18.2.0. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the APSB23-13 advisory.

- InCopy versions 18.1 (and earlier), 17.4 (and earlier) are affected by a Use After Free vulnerability that could result in arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction in that a victim must open a malicious file. (CVE-2023-22235)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Adobe InCopy version 17.4.1, 18.2.0 or later.
