Synopsis

The remote openSUSE host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote openSUSE 15 host has a package installed that is affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the openSUSE- SU-2023:0097-1 advisory.

- In Stellarium through 1.2, attackers can write to files that are typically unintended, such as ones with absolute pathnames or .. directory traversal. (CVE-2023-28371)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected stellarium package.
