Synopsis

The remote Red Hat host is missing a security update for unbound.

Description

The remote Redhat Enterprise Linux 9 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the RHSA-2023:2370 advisory.

- unbound: NRDelegation attack leads to uncontrolled resource consumption (Non-Responsive Delegation Attack) (CVE-2022-3204)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the RHEL unbound package based on the guidance in RHSA-2023:2370.
