The remote Ubuntu host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote Ubuntu 16.04 ESM / 23.04 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the USN-6159-1 advisory.

- Open redirect vulnerability in Tornado versions 6.3.1 and earlier allows a remote unauthenticated attacker to redirect a user to an arbitrary web site and conduct a phishing attack by having user access a specially crafted URL. (CVE-2023-28370)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected python-tornado and / or python3-tornado packages.
