Synopsis

The remote Amazon Linux 2023 host is missing a security update.

Description

It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the ALAS2023-2023-219 advisory.

 - A vulnerability was found in openldap. This security flaw causes a null pointer dereference in ber_memalloc_x() function. (CVE-2023-2953)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Run 'dnf update openldap --releasever 2023.1.20230628' to update your system.
