Synopsis

The remote Ubuntu host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The remote Ubuntu 18.04 ESM / 20.04 LTS host has a package installed that is affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the USN-6215-1 advisory.

It was discovered that dwarves incorrectly handled certain memory operations under certain circumstances.
An attacker could possibly use this issue to cause dwarves to crash, resulting in a denial of service, or possibly execute arbitrary code. (CVE-2022-3534, CVE-2022-3606)

Tenable has extracted the preceding description block directly from the Ubuntu security advisory.

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.
