Synopsis

The remote openSUSE host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote openSUSE 15 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the openSUSE- SU-2023:0183-1 advisory.

 - iniparser v4.1 is vulnerable to NULL Pointer Dereference in function iniparser_getlongint which misses check NULL for function iniparser_getstring's return. (CVE-2023-33461)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected libiniparser-devel, libiniparser1, libiniparser1-32bit and / or libiniparser1-64bit packages.
