Synopsis

The remote Amazon Linux 2 host is missing a security update.

Description

The version of python-pillow installed on the remote host is prior to 2.0.0-23.gitd1c6db8. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the ALAS2-2023-2118 advisory.

The package pillow 5.2.0 and before 8.3.2 are vulnerable to Regular Expression Denial of Service (ReDoS) via the getrgb function. (CVE-2021-23437)

Run 'yum update python-pillow' to update your system.
