The remote SUSE host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote SUSE Linux SLES15 / SLES_SAP15 / openSUSE 15 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the SUSE-SU-2023:3089-1 advisory.

- Shibboleth XMLTooling before 3.2.4, as used in OpenSAML and Shibboleth Service Provider, allows SSRF via a crafted KeyInfo element. (This is fixed in, for example, Shibboleth Service Provider 3.4.1.3 on Windows.) (CVE-2023-36661)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected libxmltooling-devel, libxmltooling-lite9, libxmltooling9 and / or xmltooling-schemas packages.
