Synopsis

The remote CBL Mariner host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The version of iperf3 installed on the remote CBL Mariner 2.0 host is prior to tested version. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the CVE-2023-38403 advisory.

 - iperf3 before 3.14 allows peers to cause an integer overflow and heap corruption via a crafted length field. (CVE-2023-38403)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected packages.
