Synopsis

The remote Amazon Linux 2 host is missing a security update.

Description

The version of cni-plugins installed on the remote host is prior to 1.2.0-1. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the ALAS2-2023-2192 advisory.

- A maliciously crafted HTTP/2 stream could cause excessive CPU consumption in the HPACK decoder, sufficient to cause a denial of service from a small number of small requests. (CVE-2022-41723)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Run 'yum update cni-plugins' to update your system.
