The remote Debian host is missing a security-related update.

Description

The remote Debian 10 host has a package installed that is affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the dla-3529 advisory.

- This affects the package datatables.net before 1.11.3. If an array is passed to the HTML escape entities function it would not have its contents escaped. (CVE-2021-23445)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade the datatables.js packages.

For Debian 10 buster, this problem has been fixed in version 1.10.19+dfsg-1+deb10u1.
