Synopsis

The remote Amazon Linux AMI host is missing a security update.

Description

The version of monit installed on the remote host is prior to 5.2.5-3.12. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the ALAS-2023-1805 advisory.

An issue was discovered in Tildeslash Monit before 5.31.0, allows remote attackers to gain escilated privlidges due to improper PAM-authorization. (CVE-2022-26563)
