Atlassian Bamboo 8.0 < 9.2.3 / 9.3 < 9.3.1 RCE

high Nessus Plugin ID 180256

Synopsis

The remote Atlassian Bamboo host is missing a security update.

Description

The version of Atlassian Bamboo installed on the remote host is prior to 9.2.3 or 9.3.1. It is, therefore, affected by a remote code execution vulnerability. This allows an authenticated attacker to modify the actions taken by a system call and execute arbitrary code which has high impact to confidentiality, high impact to integrity, high impact to availability, and no user interaction.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Atlassian Bamboo version 9.2.3, 9.3.1, or later.
