Oracle Linux 7 : keycloak-httpd-client-install (ELSA-2019-2137)

high Nessus Plugin ID 180789

Synopsis

The remote Oracle Linux host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The remote Oracle Linux 7 host has packages installed that are affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the ELSA-2019-2137 advisory.

- keycloak-httpd-client-install versions before 0.8 insecurely creates temporary file allowing local attackers to overwrite other files via symbolic link. (CVE-2017-15111)

- keycloak-httpd-client-install versions before 0.8 allow users to insecurely pass password through command line, leaking it via command history and process info to other local users. (CVE-2017-15112)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected keycloak-httpd-client-install and / or python2-keycloak-httpd-client-install packages.
