Synopsis

The remote Debian host is missing a security-related update.

Description

The remote Debian 10 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the dla-3562 advisory.

- Orthanc before 1.12.0 allows authenticated users with access to the Orthanc API to overwrite arbitrary files on the file system, and in specific deployment scenarios allows the attacker to overwrite the configuration, which can be exploited to trigger Remote Code Execution (RCE). (CVE-2023-33466)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade the orthanc packages.

For Debian 10 buster, this problem has been fixed in version 1.5.6+dfsg-1+deb10u1.
