Synopsis

The remote Atlassian Confluence host is missing a security update.

Description

The version of Atlassian Confluence Server running on the remote host is affected by a denial of service (DoS) vulnerability as referenced in the CONFSERVER-91258 advisory. The vulnerability exists in Confluence Data Center and Server. An unauthenticated, remote attacker can exploit this issue to cause the Confluence instance to stop responding.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Atlassian Confluence version 7.19.14, 8.5.1, 8.6.0 or later.
