Synopsis

The remote Slackware Linux host is missing a security update to cups.

Description

The version of cups installed on the remote host is prior to 2.1.4 / 2.4.7. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the SSA:2023-264-02 advisory.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade the affected cups package.
