Synopsis

The remote Amazon Linux 2 host is missing a security update.

Description

The version of libtommath installed on the remote host is prior to 1.0.1-4. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the ALAS2ANSIBLE2-2023-010 advisory.

- Integer Overflow vulnerability in mp_grow in libtom libtommath before commit beba892bc0d4e4ded4d667ab1d2a94f4d75109a9, allows attackers to execute arbitrary code and cause a denial of service (DoS). (CVE-2023-36328)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Run 'yum update libtommath' to update your system.
