Synopsis

The remote Amazon Linux 2 host is missing a security update.

Description

The version of php installed on the remote host is prior to 8.2.1-1. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the ALAS2PHP8.2-2023-003 advisory.

 - php: PDO::quote() may return unquoted string due to an integer overflow (CVE-2022-31631)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Run 'yum update php' to update your system.
