Synopsis

The remote Ubuntu host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The remote Ubuntu 16.04 ESM / 18.04 ESM host has a package installed that is affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the USN-4766-1 advisory.

 It was discovered that Apache Commons BeanUtils improperly handled certain input. An attacker could possibly use this vulnerability to cause a crash or execute arbitrary code.

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected libcommons-beanutils-java package.
