Synopsis

The remote Ubuntu host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote Ubuntu 18.04 ESM / 20.04 ESM host has a package installed that is affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the USN-5238-1 advisory.

It was discovered that PostgreSQL JDBC Driver incorrectly handled certain requests from external entities.
A remote attacker could use this vulnerability to cause a denial of service or possibly execute arbitrary code.

Solution

Update the affected libpostgresql-jdbc-java package.
