The remote Ubuntu host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The remote Ubuntu 20.04 ESM host has packages installed that are affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the USN-5759-2 advisory.

USN-5759-1 fixed vulnerabilities in LibBPF. This update provides the corresponding updates for Ubuntu 20.04 ESM.

Original advisory details:

It was discovered that LibBPF incorrectly handled certain memory operations

under certain circumstances. An attacker could possibly use this issue to

cause LibBPF to crash, resulting in a denial of service, or possibly

execute arbitrary code. This issue only affected Ubuntu 22.10.

It was discovered that LibBPF incorrectly handled certain memory operations

under certain circumstances. An attacker could possibly use this issue to

cause LibBPF to crash, resulting in a denial of service, or possibly

execute arbitrary code. (CVE-2022-3534, CVE-2022-3606)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected libbpf-dev and / or libbpf0 packages.
