SolarWinds Platform is affected by a vulnerability

Description

The version of SolarWinds Platform installed on the remote host is prior to 2023.4. It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the solarwinds_platform_2023_4 advisory.

 - SolarWinds Platform Incomplete List of Disallowed Inputs Remote Code Execution Vulnerability. If executed, this vulnerability would allow a low-privileged user to execute commands with SYSTEM privileges.
 (CVE-2023-40062)

 - Insecure job execution mechanism vulnerability. This vulnerability can lead to other attacks as a result.
 (CVE-2023-40061)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to SolarWinds Platform version 2023.4 or later.
