Description

The remote Rocky Linux 8 host has packages installed that are affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the RLSA-2022:1557 advisory.

- Vulnerability in the MySQL Server product of Oracle MySQL (component: Server: DML). Supported versions that are affected are 5.7.33 and prior. Easily exploitable vulnerability allows high privileged attacker with network access via multiple protocols to compromise MySQL Server. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized ability to cause a hang or frequently repeatable crash (complete DOS) of MySQL Server. (CVE-2021-2154)

- Vulnerability in the MySQL Server product of Oracle MySQL (component: Server: DML). Supported versions that are affected are 5.7.33 and prior and 8.0.23 and prior. - Vulnerability in the MySQL Server product of Oracle MySQL (component: InnoDB). Supported versions that are affected are 5.7.37 and prior and 8.0.28 and prior. Difficult to exploit vulnerability allows high privileged attacker with network access via multiple protocols to compromise MySQL Server. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized ability to cause a hang or frequently repeatable crash (complete DOS) of MySQL Server. (CVE-2022-21451)

- An issue in the component Used_tables_and_const_cache::used_tables_and_const_cache_join of MariaDB Server v10.7 and below was discovered to allow attackers to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) via specially crafted SQL statements. (CVE-2022-27385)

- MariaDB Server before 10.7 is vulnerable to Denial of Service. In extra/mariabackup/ds_xbstream.cc, when an error occurs (stream_ctxt->dest_file == NULL) while executing the method xbstream_open, the held lock is not released correctly, which allows local users to trigger a denial of service due to the deadlock.
(CVE-2022-31621)

- MariaDB Server before 10.7 is vulnerable to Denial of Service. While executing the plugin/server_audit/server_audit.c method log_statement_ex, the held lock lock_bigbuffer is not released correctly, which allows local users to trigger a denial of service due to the deadlock. (CVE-2022-31624)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.
