The remote Rocky Linux host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote Rocky Linux 8 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the RLSA-2021:4324 advisory.

- psutil (aka python-psutil) through 5.6.5 can have a double free. This occurs because of refcount mishandling within a while or for loop that converts system data into a Python object. (CVE-2019-18874)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected python3-psutil and / or python3-psutil-debuginfo packages.
