Synopsis

The remote Atlassian Confluence host is missing a security update.

Description

The version of Atlassian Confluence Server running on the remote host is affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the CONFSERVER-93175 advisory.

- A vulnerability in Batik of Apache XML Graphics allows an attacker to run Java code from untrusted SVG via JavaScript. This issue affects Apache XML Graphics prior to 1.16. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 1.16. (CVE-2022-42890)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Atlassian Confluence version 7.19.16 or later.
