Synopsis

The remote Ubuntu host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The remote Ubuntu 20.04 LTS / 22.04 LTS / 23.04 / 23.10 host has packages installed that are affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the USN-6526-1 advisory.

 - Integer overflow leading to heap overwrite in MXF file handling with uncompressed video (CVE-2023-40474, CVE-2023-40475, CVE-2023-40476)

 - AV1 codec parser buffer overflow [fedora-all] (CVE-2023-44429)

 - MXF demuxer use-after-free vulnerability [fedora-all] (CVE-2023-44446)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.
