Synopsis

A PHP application running on the remote web server is affected by a vulnerability.

Description

According to its self-reported version, the instance of Joomla! running on the remote web server is 5.0.0 prior to 5.0.1 or 1.6.x prior to 4.4.1. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability.

- The language file parsing process could be manipulated to expose environment variables. Environment variables might contain sensible information. (CVE-2023-40626)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Joomla! version 4.4.1 / 5.0.1 or later.
