Synopsis

The remote Helix Core Server host is affected by multiple vulnerabilities

Description

The version of Helix Core Server running on the remote host is prior to 2023.2. It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities.

- An arbitrary code execution which results in privilege escalation was discovered in Helix Core versions prior to 2023.2. (CVE-2023-45849)

- In Helix Core versions prior to 2023.2, an unauthenticated remote Denial of Service (DoS) via the shutdown function was identified. (CVE-2023-35767)

- In Helix Core versions prior to 2023.2, an unauthenticated remote Denial of Service (DoS) via the buffer was identified. (CVE-2023-5759)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Helix Core Server 2023.2 or later
