Description

The version of GitLab installed on the remote host is affected by a vulnerability, as follows:

- Inaccurate display of Snippet files containing special characters in all versions of GitLab CE/EE allows an attacker to create Snippets with misleading content which could trick unsuspecting users into executing arbitrary commands (CVE-2022-0751)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to GitLab version 14.6.5, 14.7.4, 14.8.2 or later.
