Synopsis

The Adobe Experience Manager instance installed on the remote host is affected by an arbitrary code execution vulnerability.

Description

The version of Adobe Experience Manager installed on the remote host is prior to 6.5.19.1. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the APSB23-77 advisory.

- An attacker can manipulate file upload params to enable paths traversal and under some circumstances this can lead to uploading a malicious file which can be used to perform Remote Code Execution. Users are recommended to upgrade to versions Struts 2.5.33 or Struts 6.3.0.2 or greater to fix this issue.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Adobe Experience Manager version 6.5.19.1 or later.
