Synopsis

The remote Amazon Linux 2023 host is missing a security update.

Description

It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the ALAS2023-2024-463 advisory.

 A vulnerability was found that the response times to malformed ciphertexts in RSA-PSK ClientKeyExchange differ from response times of ciphertexts with correct PKCS#1 v1.5 padding. Only TLS ciphertext processing is affected. (CVE-2023-5981)

Solution

Run 'dnf update gnutls --releasever 2023.3.20240108' to update your system.
