The remote Amazon Linux 2023 host is missing a security update.

Description

It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the ALAS2023-2024-466 advisory.

 - NCurse v6.4-20230418 was discovered to contain a segmentation fault via the component _nc_wrap_entry().
 (CVE-2023-50495)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Run 'dnf update ncurses --releasever 2023.3.20240108' to update your system.
