The remote Ubuntu host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote Ubuntu 20.04 LTS / 22.04 ESM / 23.04 / 23.10 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the USN-6579-2 advisory.

USN-6579-1 fixed a vulnerability in Xerces-C++. This update provides the corresponding update for Ubuntu 20.04 LTS, Ubuntu 22.04 LTS, Ubuntu 23.04 and Ubuntu 23.10.

Solution

Update the affected libxerces-c-dev, libxerces-c-samples and / or libxerces-c3.2 packages.
