The BIOS firmware on the remote host is affected by CVE-2022-21198.

Description

The version of the Intel BIOS on the remote device is affected by a vulnerability as identified in the INTEL-SA-00688 advisory.

 - Time-of-check time-of-use race condition in the BIOS firmware for some Intel(R) Processors may allow a privileged user to potentially enable escalation of privilege via local access. (CVE-2022-21198)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.
